I designed and started building "BACK it OFF" Snowplows while living
in the Durango, Colorado area.
The idea was to have a small, light weight plow, attached to the back
of your vehicle, in order to clear a driveway while backing out of the
garage, or carport.
In the summer of 1995, while driving to work, I saw a pickup with all
the rigging for a snowplow on the front. As I thought about it, I decided
to design something for the back. After designing what I thought would
work, I went to a friend who was a welder, who's comment was; "that
idea is just dumb enough that it might work".
It didn't just work, it exceeded all expectations.
With the retirement and sale of the company that was building the
snowplow, we have reorganized and centralized the business to
better serve our customers. The business has become a family
business with my son Kenneth taking on the manufacturing of the
snowplow.
We feel we have a product that will do the job and last as long as it is
properly taken care of.
